Lillian R. Schauer, an attorney since 1987, is licensed to practice in the State of Washington. Her office is just minutes from the Kitsap Superior Court in Port Orchard. Her practice focuses on guardianships, probate, wills and estate planning, real property and business law.

She received her Jurist Doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law (formerly University of Puget Sound School of Law) in Tacoma, WA. She has a BA degree (Liberal Arts, with Business emphasis) from The Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA. She has AA and ATA degrees (Business and Economics, and Accounting, respectively) from Olympic College in Bremerton, WA. From 1987 until July, 2002, Lillian Schauer was in the private practice of law, first as an Associate attorney, then Partner, and eventually as a Sole Practitioner. Between July, 2002, and November, 2005, she served as the Courthouse Facilitator, for the Office of the Kitsap County Clerk, Port Orchard, Washington. Lillian Schauer has now returned to private practice.

Mrs. Schauer is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Washington, and is also admitted to practice before the Federal District Court and U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Mrs. Schauer has varied legal experience ranging from criminal public defense, with extensive jury trial experience, to Domestic Relations, Wills and Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianships, Adoptions, Real Estate, Contracts, and Corporations. Mrs. Schauer has taught Business Law at Olympic College, as well as Continuing Legal Education classes for attorneys in family law, and provided training for courthouse facilitators.

She is a long standing member of Washington Women Lawyers, Kitsap Women Lawyers, Kitsap Bar Association, and the Washington State Bar Association, as well as serving within the local Family Law Section of the Kitsap County Bar Association. She is a former member of the Board of Kitsap Legal Services, dedicated to providing civil legal services to low-income citizens of Kitsap County. Mrs. Schauer is a current member of the Washington State Bar Association Pattern Forms Committee for Domestic Relations.

Lillian Schauer lives in rural South Kitsap County with her husband Jim, of more than 43 years, where they have deep roots in the community of their birth. They are blessed with the richness of family life with visits from their children and ten grandchildren.
